Foaling emergencies
Having a newborn foal is a very exciting time. We want to keep your foal as healthy as possible. All foals need a new baby examination, medications, and bloodwork to assess health and colostrum absorption within 24 hours of life. Medical intervention may be necessary based on bloodwork, maternal care, colostrum intake, and illness. On farm procedures can be performed for neonates as well as referral for hospitalization. Foals should be monitored closely for any signs of illness so intervention can be made quickly. As foals grow into weanlings they will need vaccinations, routine hoof care, deworming, and healthcare management to keep them healthy as they grow.
Annual examinations - At yearly examinations we assess overall health, make nutritional recommendations, discuss healthcare recommendations, and answer any questions about your horse.
Vaccinations - Keep your horse protected year round from preventable diseases. Horses need core and at risk vaccinations every six to twelve months. We help form vaccination guidelines specifically to your horse based on their activity and environment. Our vaccinations are directly from distributors. They are stored and handled appropriately to maintain manufacturer backing and ensure efficacy.
Coggins - Yearling testing for Equine Infectious Anemia is required for interstate movement and competition.
Health Certificates - Certificates of Veterinary Inspection are required to ensure your horse is healthy and disease free prior to moving across state lines. Our veterinarians are nationally accredited to write health certificates and perform state testing.
Endocrine testing - Horse owners are familiar with Cushings, PPID, and Metabolic Syndrome. We help identify these diseases early, catching them before they become a significant issue, and offer management guidelines throughout your horse's lifetime.
Geriatrics - As horses age they need frequent healthcare as their needs change. We focus on nutrition, dentistry, and disease management to keep them healthy. Years of quality life can be added to those special horses living out retirement.
Yearly sedated oral examinations are recommended to keep your horse healthy. After the exam we will float your horses teeth based on individual needs. We are able to perform basic extractions and remove wolf teeth on young horses. We will perform dental radiographs on farm if needed. Dental health is vital to maintaining your horses health and add years of life to your horse.
Our doctors both enjoy ambulatory surgeries right at your farm. Our surgical procedures are the highest quality performed by veterinarians with extensive experience.

Routine herd health and selective beef cattle services are performed including herd health, herd checks, fetal sexing, sick cows, lameness, husbandry, nutrition consultations, vaccination protocols, and regulatory work. A chute and safe place to work is necessary.
Emergencies are going to happen when horses are involved. We offer 24 hour emergency services and care to our current active patients. Please remember your horse needs to be seen at least once a year to maintain a quality relationship with your veterinarian. To be available and provide the best quality care for our loyal client base we do not accept new clients after hours. Emergencies are stressful situations and we are here to help with any urgent situation.
Colic - We will triage your horse's abdominal pain and offer on farm management or option for referral.
